Product information:

Original part from: Balancing weights are primarily intended for use on truck, buses, vacuum tires, tubeless truck tyres 9.0 × 22.5. Made in China

Why do trucks use knock-on weights?

  1. Most commercial trucks use steel wheels. Steel wheels have a prominent flange (lip) on the edge, which is ideal for knock-on installation.
  2. As a production tool, trucks have higher requirements for the stability, installation efficiency, and weight limit of balance weights.
  3. Due to the large diameter and strong centrifugal force of truck tires, knock-on weights utilize physical interlocking force, making them less likely to detach during severe bumps compared to adhesive weights.

Installation of Balancing Weights:

  1.  You must select balancing weights suitable for steel or aluminum rims. The balancing weights must match the rim shape, and you need to differentiate between rim design and rim flange shape. Then place the balancing weights on the rim to check for proper fit.
  2. Place the weights in the desired position on the steel or aluminum rim. Before striking the balancing weight, ensure the clip is correctly secured to the rim flange.
  3. Once the weights are properly aligned, strike them with a suitable installation tool (balancing weight pliers or hammer). When installing balancing weights, strike a maximum of two times. Increasing the number of strikes may damage the coating of the balancing weight.
  4. Check that the weights are securely fixed to the rim!
